All Bootylicious Divas should be savvy when it comes to making good choices in relationships. Sometimes that may mean knowing when a relationship is going South, making good choices when starting new relationships, or knowing something as simple as when friendship is turning into something more. Sometimes we have to face some not so pleasant facts about a relationship, and sometimes we may need to know when it is okay to drop our guard. 

Savvy Sundays, articles specifically written for Divas who want to be more savvy, more intuitive, and more aware of the signs that our relationships may not be all that we may envision or wish for. Or perhaps serves as reassurance that we may be moving along in the right direction.

Today’’s Savvy Sunday Countdown, 10 Signs He Might See You as Just A Booty Call.

Many of us have, or will at some point in our dating lives, find ourselves involved with that guy who is just interested in one thing, sex on a regular basis.  Often times, this guy is not very upfront with his intentions and what you may think is a potential relationship may never be anything more to this guy than a guaranteed romp in the hay.  

This type of guy can be particularly deceiving, because after all, he does call sometimes, he may also act very interested, and he may be a very adept and attentive lover. But guys like this are rarely capable of committing to any one woman, and are usually only good for bringing about the occasional physical pleasure.

However, by the time we figure this out, we usually have either developed feelings for Mr. Booty call, or we have begun to read more into the relationship than there really is.  Before you find yourself knee deep in emotions for a man that has no interest beyond the sexual, familiarize yourself with the signs that he might just see you as a booty call, so you can bow out early before someone, (more than likely, you) ends up hurt.

10. He calls you regularly, but he never really seems to be very interested in what is going on in your life.  This one can really baffle us as women, because we often take the fact that a guy is calling as a sign that he really wants our company.  This is only partially true, if he is inquiring more about your schedule than what kind of day you had at work chances are he is mentally scheduling when he will have the opportunity to hit it again.

9. Usually when he calls, or stops by, he has been drinking earlier in the evening.

This doesn”t mean that a guy only wants to talk to you when he is drunk.  Typically when guys drink, they become horny.  If they haven”t been successful picking up some chick in the club, their usual booty call may seem like an appealing alternative.

8. You never hear from him when it is that time of the month. Guys that are big on booty calls are typically not big on cuddling.

7. He can never contact you just to hang out. 

Booty call guys are usually big time players. They typically have girlfriends, girls they hang out with and sex ships. Rarely are these girls ever one and the same. 

6. He leaves right after you have had sex. 

Again, once the deed is done, he has accomplished his goal, anything else would just be uncomfortable for him. Women have a tendency to get emotional after sex.  Not a bad thing normally, it is just the way many of us are built.  But, booty call guys are not very good with emotion so they try to bolt way before things start to get too mushy or too serious.

5. If you have never met any of his friends or family members, you are definitely in booty call status and should seriously consider moving on if you are expecting more from your relationship.  A guy who does not introduce you to his friends, does not see you as being at all important in his life.  In fact, he may be trying to hide you. 

4. If by chance you do go out and you meet someone who he knows, he introduces you as his friend. This can be very confusing, especially if you have been seeing this guy for a while and my calculations are correct, will start an argument as soon as the two of you are alone.

3. Whenever you are with him, you never go out, you always stay in the house.

This is obviously because he is trying to avoid the friend fiasco that could possibly occur in sign #4.

2.  He never calls during the day, you only hear from him after the sun sets.

It’s a known fact that most booty calls are short notice, and often occur after midnight.  Hence the saying, “Ain”t nothing open after 12 but legs.”

1. And the number one sign that he sees you as a booty call, All conversations eventually lead to sex.

I think this sign is pretty self explanatory.

I will be the first to admit that there are many women out there that are liberated enough to accept a booty call for what it is.  In fact, there are many of us who have been known to orchestrate our own booty calls. But for the woman who is seeking a relationship, and/or something deeper from the man she is sleeping with, recognizing the signs is a great way to begin to separate the wheat from the chaff, putting Mr. Booty Call guy in the proper perspective, and conditioning her heart to find  a real meaningful, lasting relationship with a man who has gotten something as silly as booty calling out of his system.
